Winter brings lots of things. Cold weather, snow, sleet, treacherous driving and layers upon layers of clothing. It can also zap our skin of moisture and softness leaving us feeling dried up and as leathery as an elephant if we don't keep on top of a good daily moisturizing routine. But achieving glowing winter skin takes a little more than just slathering a layer of moisturizer on once or twice a day. As with all aspects of happy, healthy skin, glowing winter skin comes from within.
Well, here we are smack dab in the middle of the holidays. Boy did they ever sneak up on me this year! With the holidays comes holiday indulgences...a lot of them and on an almost daily basis if we're not careful. One of my favourite indulgences during the holidays has always been egg nog but once I realized the artificial chemical disaster that actually went into the popular commercially prepared brands I switched to homemade. But then, once I realized the ravaging effects that dairy, saturated animal fats and sugar had on my body, I pretty much gave egg nog up for good. Or so I thought...
