F=bombs are a daily occurrence in my house. At least three times a day these babies are being unleashed, starting first thing in the morning at breakfast. It's glorious...absolutely glorious!
Nooooo, I'm not talking about THOSE F-bombs. Sheesh!! I'm talking about these F-bombs.....
Late night refrigerator raids, Mid-afternoon candy binging. A chocolate bar needing to be a standard requirement for being in the purse. Sugar cravings...we have all had them and know what kind of madness they can create when they kick into full swing. But did you know that when we have sugar cravings it's a sign that our bodies are out of balance and are really asking us for the nutrients and lifestyle support we are lacking?
Ever feel like this?
Well let me tell you, this is pretty much what my entire body feels like right now. It's bad enough that I am prone to super dry skin thanks to my Hashimoto's Disease, but now that we're smack dab in the middle of winter here in Canada, almost all indoor areas are drier than the Sahara desert which translates into even drier skin for most of us.
Despite drinking more than my share of water every day and keeping on top of my intake of healthy fatty acids, my skin still needs all the extra hydration it can get in these frigid winter months. I have tried my fair share store brand "moisturizing" soaps and body washes over the years and none of them ever truly came through for me. So I decided to make my own creation using all natural ingredients which I'm going to share with you today because I'm pretty sure that you dislike feeling like one of those shriveled up Apple Granny dolls just as much as I do.
This body wash is proudly all natural, environmentally friendly and sustainable, vegan and cruelty free.
Well boys and girls, here we are. It's almost the middle of January and cold and flu season is in full swing. I don't know about you, but I've been surrounded by oozing, sniffing, coughing and all out spewing sick people over the last few weeks and, as I'm sure applies to you, I do not have time to be sick!
Hand washing, sneezing/coughing into your sleeve, getting enough sleep...all these things go a long way to help prevent illness. And, of course, eating a wholesome diet full of fresh veggies and fruits packed with Vitamin C and immune system supporting phytochemicals just goes without saying. But sometimes we need to go a little bit further and add in some extra firing power against the cooties that surround us.
Enter this delicious and super warming cold and flu busting elixir. This is a simple yet powerful little drink to give your body a massive dose of nutrients that it will use to reinforce its defense system and keep you from landing on the couch watching mindless infomercials and re-runs of "You are NOT the father!" for a week.
So what's the big deal about this drink? Let me fill you in...
Cramps, sore boobs, headaches, skin breakouts, insomnia, homicidal thoughts, emotional breakdowns, bloating, constipation and/or diarrhea. Feeling like you just want to crawl under a rock with a heating bag and a Costco sized box of chocolates for 3 days until life can be tolerable again. Yes, my friends, these are the wonderful symptoms we have all experienced at some point in our lives as a result of our "Lady Days" (aka our PERIOD). No one really warns us about it all when we are young and innocent little girls. We just know, either from learning from our mothers, our friends or through our health class at school, that one day we will magically enter the world of womanhood and that every month an ovary will release an egg that, if not fertilized, will be discarded from our bodies along with the blood that has lined our uterus. That itself sounds gross enough to a 10 or 11 year-old so of course none of the REALLY scary details ever get shared until we learn for ourselves what the real deal is. We just learn to either deal with it or go to see our family doctor and end up getting a prescription for the birth control pill to make things "normal".
